A Broad Overview of the Dairy Industry

Welcome to Introduction to Dairy, the first course in the Dairy Leaders of Tomorrow curriculum. By the end of this course, students will be able to describe the economic impact of the dairy industry, know historic events that have impacted the industry, identify different types of housing facilities as well as have a basic understanding of marketing dairy products.

LESSON 1: The Dairy Industry and Its Economic Impact
At the conclusion of the lesson, the student will be able to:

  • Describe historical trends within the dairy industry, including farm size, processing developments, and marketing improvements to teacher satisfaction.

At the conclusion of the lesson, the student will be able to:
